It started with two companies who the have a passionate dedication to green, socially conscious products, and a continuously high level of CSR (corporate social responsibility).
Sue Rigler, principal and founder of AdVinylize.com™, has a long-term working relationship with Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. (an industry leader in “green” technology development) via her promotional products company, yourpromoplace.com. As sponsor of the 2007 EMA (Environmental Media Awards), the Toyota team naturally wanted to work with Sue to create a unique, eco-friendly “celebrity” event bag to hand out at the awards. Made of retired Prius vinyl billboards collected from throughout the U.S. (link to case study photos), the bags were a huge hit. That night, Toyota won the EMA Corporate Responsibility Award, and Sue decided that AdVinylize.com™ would become an exclusive line of “green” promotional products available only through yourpromoplace.com.
Toyota practices the “3Rs—reduce, reuse, recycle” throughout their manufacturing process, so that 85% of their vehicles are recyclable (http://bit.ly/16OQAS) Working with AdVinylize.com™, Toyota takes this philosophy beyond their vehicles to include their billboards, creating branded, reusable event merchandise that will help keep Toyota’s billboard vinyls out of the landfills.
Next time you are wondering what to do with your used billboards, think “AdVinylize.com™.” Don’t put your ad dollars in the landfill. We will make it easy to do the socially responsible thing, and turn your boards into stylish, reusable event merchandise, that will extend your corporate brand awareness and loyalty, and help the planet.
